Text Message Terms

The terms of the Corner 17 text messages sent to people who work here.

Version 2026.1 · Effective Sep 4, 2026

Corner 17 sends work text messages to people who work at Corner 17. This page says what we send, how often, what it costs, how you say yes, and how you stop it. It applies to every text sent from a Corner 17 number.

1 · Who gets these messages

People employed by Corner 17 who have given us a mobile number and agreed to be texted about work. Nobody else. We do not text guests, we do not text job applicants who have not asked us to, and we have never bought, rented, or been given a list of phone numbers.

Corner 17 runs three sites in the St. Louis area: the Delmar Loop restaurant, the Dierbergs pickup counter, and the WashU campus location. The same terms apply at all of them.

2 · What we send

Work messages, and only work messages:

  • The schedule. Next week is posted, a shift moved, somebody needs a cover.
  • Training. A course has been assigned to you, a floor day is booked, something is due.
  • Urgent store news. A closing, a late delivery, a broken machine, a safety notice.
  • A manager answering a question you asked.

We do not send you marketing. No offers, no coupons, no promotions, no surveys about anything other than your own work. If you ever get one of those from a Corner 17 number, it is a mistake and we want to hear about it.

3 · How often, and what it costs

Message frequency varies. It follows your schedule and your store, so a quiet week can be no messages at all and a week with a shift change can be several.

Message and data rates may apply. Corner 17 does not charge you anything for these texts. Your mobile carrier may, under whatever plan you are on, and that is between you and them. If you are unsure, ask your carrier before you say yes.

4 · How you say yes

There are two ways, and both of them start with you:

  • You sign in to the Corner 17 Hub, enter your own mobile number, and tick the box that says Corner 17 may text me about work. The box is empty until you tick it, and it sits under the line saying what we send: schedule changes, training, and urgent store news, never marketing.
  • You text a Corner 17 number first. Starting the conversation is agreeing to it.

Saying yes is not a condition of employment, and it is not a condition of anything else either. You can work here for years and never receive a text. If you say no, or you stop later, you get the same information the way you always could: on the schedule, by email, in the Corner 17 Hub, or from your manager in person.

5 · How you stop it

Reply STOP to any message from us, or text STOP to (314) 237-5043.

That is all it takes. You will get one last message confirming you are off the list, and after that nothing. You can also tell any manager, or write to the address at the bottom of this page, and we will take you off by hand.

Stopping the texts has no effect on your job. Not on your hours, not on your pay, not on your standing here. If anyone suggests otherwise, tell an owner.

If you change your mind, reply START, or ask any manager to put you back on.

6 · Getting help

Reply HELP to any message from us, or text HELP to (314) 237-5043.

You can also email robert@bunybun.com at any time, about anything on this page.

7 · When you text us back

A reply reaches an owner by email. It is read during the working day, not the second you send it, and nobody is sitting watching the number. So it is a good way to answer a question and a poor way to raise something that cannot wait.

If a shift is starting and something is wrong, call your manager. If somebody is hurt or in danger, call 911 first.

8 · What a text cannot promise

Text messages are delayed, and sometimes they do not arrive at all. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Neither the carriers nor Corner 17 can guarantee that any particular message reaches your phone.

So a text is a nudge, never the record. The schedule in the Corner 17 Hub is the schedule, whatever a message did or did not say, and it is the one to check before a shift.

Messages are carried by Twilio, and by whichever mobile carrier serves your phone. Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and the smaller networks that run on them.

9 · Changes, and where to reach us

We may update these terms. When we do, the effective date at the top of this page changes, and anything that would genuinely alter what you agreed to is told to the team, not just quietly posted.

How we handle your number and the rest of your information is set out separately, in the Corner 17 Privacy Notice at https://teamc17.com/privacy.

Write to robert@bunybun.com, or to Corner 17, 6623 Delmar Blvd, St. Louis, MO.

This page is written in English and Chinese so that everybody here can read it. Where the two differ, the English is the operative version.

How we handle your number, and everything else we hold about you, is set out in the Privacy Notice.
